The ceiling light is the main fitting in most rooms. Its installation must be carried out properly to ensure safety and aesthetics. Elecprium installs and replaces all types of ceiling lights across the Alpes-Maritimes (06).
Our 3-step installation method
At Elecprium, every ceiling light installation follows a rigorous process to ensure careful work and respect for your home.
Step 1: Protect the client's furniture
Before starting any work, we carefully protect your furniture and floors with plastic sheeting. This step is essential to prevent any soiling from drilling, dust or debris. We treat your home as if it were our own.
Step 2: Fix the light fixture base to the ceiling
The installation itself includes:
- Verification or installation of the DCL box in compliance with the NFC 15-100 standard
- Safe isolation of the lighting circuit at the consumer unit
- Fixing the light fixture base to the ceiling with fixings suited to the surface (concrete, plasterboard, wood)
- Careful electrical connection respecting the wire colour code
Step 3: Verify proper operation and clean up the site
Once the ceiling light is installed, we carry out a full check:
- Functional test of the fitting and the switch
- Earth verification for your safety
- Full clean-up of the work area: removal of sheeting, vacuuming of dust, furniture put back in place
You get your room back clean with perfectly working lighting.
The importance of the DCL box
The NFC 15-100 standard requires the installation of a luminaire connection box (DCL) at each light point. This device:
- Ensures secure connection of the fitting
- Supports the weight of the fitting (up to 25 kg)
- Facilitates replacement of the fitting without intervention on the wiring
- Is mandatory in new builds and renovations
