How to choose the right circuit breaker?
The circuit breaker rating must be matched to the protected circuit:
- 10 A: lighting circuits
- 16 A: socket outlet circuits
- 20 A: specialist circuits (washing machine, dishwasher)
- 32 A: electric hobs
The choice of circuit breaker also depends on the cable cross-section and the circuit length. Consult a professional for sizing in compliance with the NFC 15-100 standard.
